OSHA requires that every employer who has any employee who works on or around energized electrical equipment have a written Lock Out and Tag Out policy in place. The workers must be trained specifically about the policy and procedures AND that each worker must demonstrate that they can place the lock out devices on all of the equipment. This is best done by using a hands-on LOTO training system like the LearnLab LOTO Training System (Click Here) .
This sample written policy will help you get your paperwork in place and set up you in-house lock-out tag-out procedures. Just fill in the company name and designated person, and you are set!
